Stadium: Gewiss Stadium (Bergamo)

Key Statistics

  • They are on a six-game winning run at home in the league.
  • The home team have not lost to a team in the bottom half of the table this season (W13, D5).
  • Benevento have lost all three of their last three games.
  • They are without a win in their last seven league games.

Atalanta

Boasting one of the most impressive squad in Serie A this season, Atalanta looks set to qualify for the Champions League for the third straight season.

After their impressive win over Parma in their last outing, they head into this tie sitting in second place, three points ahead of Juventus in fifth place and with a superior goal difference.

They boast the league’s most potent attack with 84 goals scored this term, five more than Serie A champions Inter Milan. Over 50% of those goals have come at the Gewiss Stadium, where the hosts have scored 47 times in 17 games.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side head into this tie on excellent form and will be looking to seal their CL qualification for next season with a big win here.

Rafael Toloi is the only player missing for Gasperini after the defender picked up a muscle injury.

Possible line-ups

Marco Sportiello, Berat Djimsiti, Cristian Romero, Jose Luis Palomino, Joakim Maehle, Marten de Roon, Remo Freuler, Robin Gosens, Josip Ilicic, Aleksei Miranchuk, Luis Muriel

Benevento

18th placed Benevento are looking down the relegation pit after taking just six points from their last ten matches in the league.

With just three games left to play in the league and a three-point gap between them and Spezia in 17th place, the visitors face a challenging task in securing their top-flight future for one more season.

A loss against Atalanta, who have proven to be unforgiven against weaker teams this season, will all but confirm their relegation, and they will be looking to put up a fight in Bergamo to boost their slim chances of survival.

However, their defensive record for this season suggests that a win is unlikely, as they have conceded 71 goals throughout this campaign.

Belgian defender Daam Foulon, Marco Sau, Gabriele Moncini are set to sit out of this game, while midfielder Pasquale Schiattarella is an injury doubt.

Possible line-ups

Lorenzo Montipo, Fabio Depaoli, Kamil Glik, Luca Caldirola, Federico Barba, Perparim Hetemaj, Nicolas Viola, Artur Ionita, Roberto Insigne, Gianluca Caprari, Gianluca Lapadula
