Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is all set to continue his stay at AC Milan after helping them win the title last season.

The highly experienced forward has signed a one-year extension with the Italian champions, and he has also agreed to take a payout.

The player is currently out after knee surgery, and he is expected to return in six-seven months.

Despite the fact that Ibrahimovic might miss the majority of the next season, he could be an asset for Milan with his experience and leadership skills. Apart from his qualities as a player, the 40-year-old could help groom the young attackers at the club as well.

The 40-year-old scored 8 goals in 27 appearances last season, and he will be hoping to win more trophies with Milan next season as well. It remains to be seen whether he can perform at a high level following the knee injury.

If he manages to recover fully, he could hand Milan a huge boost during the second half of the season.

Meanwhile, Milan will be looking to defend their Scudetto next season, and they need to bring in proper reinforcements this summer. Currently, they are overly reliant on Rafael Leao.

Reports have claimed that Milan have agreed on a deal to sign Divock Origi on a free transfer, and the former Liverpool striker could be a handy option for the Italian giants.

The Belgian international scored some important goals for the Reds, and he won every trophy at the club level during his time at Merseyside.
