Odion Ighalo

Manchester United are keen on extending Odion Ighalo‘s stay until the end of the season.

The Premier League season has been extended because of the current health crisis and Ighalo’s loan deal expires soon.

The player and the Red Devils want to complete the remaining games and they are in talks with Shanghai Shenhua about it.

As per Sky Sports, the Chinese club have a condition that Ighalo will have to sign a new deal with them until 2024 and only then will he be allowed to stay at United until the end of this current season.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.

Premier League will return on the 17th of June and Ighalo could still be an important player for United. He has done well since joining the club on loan.

Marcos Rojo

In other news, Marcos Rojo could be on his way out of Old Trafford permanently.

As per reports, the Argentine defender could sign for Estudiantes permanently.

He is currently on loan at the club and they want to speak to Manchester United about a permanent deal.

Rojo has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and he is better off leaving them this summer.

He needs to join a club where he will be valued and given regular first team football.

The Argentine is unlikely to break into Solskjaer’s first team plans next season and if United bring in another defender, his career at Old Trafford is over.

Returning to Old Trafford wouldn’t make any sense for the player.

United have been linked with a few defenders this summer already and it will be interesting to see who comes in to partner Maguire next season.
