Tottenham keen on signing Southampton's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Tottenham are set to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton this summer.

As per reports, the London club will pay around £15m for the midfielder and the two clubs have agreed on the outline of the package which will see Kyle Walker-Peters move the other way.

Hojbjerg was subject to a bid from Everton earlier this summer as well but the player was always keen on a move to Spurs and he seems to be getting his wish now.

The 24-year-old has been in the Premier League for a while now and he knows the league well. He should be able to improve Spurs immediately.

Mourinho needed more composure and defensive discipline in his midfield and Hojbjerg will add just that. He could partner the likes of Ndombele in the midfield next season.

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can finalise the agreement in the coming days now.

Spurs need to add more depth to their side and it remains to be seen whether Mourinho is properly backed in the transfer market.

The Londoners need to improve their defence and attack as well. A back up for Harry Kane should be top priority for them and they have been linked with Callum Wilson and Troy Deeney already.

In the defense, they will have to replace the departing Jan Vertonghen properly.

Spurs are also expected to sell Serge Aurier this summer and they value the AC Milan target close to £23m.
