UEFA Europa League 2021/22 Draw: Leicester City and Celtic handed tough groups

The UEFA Europa League draw for the 2021/22 season was concluded earlier today and the likes of Leicester City and Celtic have been handed a tough group.

Premier League outfit Leicester City will have to face off with Napoli, Spartak Moscow and Legia Warsaw in Group C and the Foxes will have to be at their best to qualify to the next round of the competition.

Meanwhile, Scottish giants Celtic have been placed in a group of death comprising of Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and La Liga outfit Real Betis.

The Scottish side will lead a massive stroke of luck to get through to the next round of the competition judging by the gulf in quality between the three teams.

In other news, West Ham United have returned to Europe for the first time since 2007 and they have been placed in a group with Dinamo Zagreb, Genk and Rapid Vienna.

The first matchday of the group stages will begin on the 16th of September and the final of this year’s showpiece event is set to be held in Spain on the 18th of May.
