UEFA Nations League Sensi and Insigne shines in Italy's 1-1 draw against Bosnia

The Italians managed to pick up a 1-1 draw against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The Italians went head to head with Bosnia & Herzegovina in the UEFA Nations League clash.

Despite a goalless first-half, Edin Dzeko of Bosnia found the opener around the hour mark. The AS Roma striker found the net with his left foot, set up by his team-mate Sunjit.

The Azzurri soon responded with an equalizer from Stefano Sensi. The midfielder’s effort took a slight deflection after a brilliant assist from Lorenzo Insigne.

The draw ended Italy’s winning streak in the Nations League, having won all of their 11 previous games.

Sensi and Insigne shone for an otherwise inefficient Roberto Mancini’s side, with the former announcing his return in an emphatic way. Sensi was ruled out of the latter half of the last season due to recurring injury problems. Inter Milan opted to buy him permanently from Sassuolo after an impressive loan spell.

Meanwhile, Insigne also put up some impressive numbers as his creativity was much helpful to the win. The 29-year-old had a good season with Napoli and now look to replicate the same with his national team.

Moise Kean and Nicolo Zaniolo also had their minutes, coming as substitutes in the second half of the game.

Italy will play the Netherlands in their next National League fixture next week.
