AC Milan

AC Milan will look to keep their quest for their first Scudetto title since the 2010/11 season alive when they welcome struggling Udinese to San Siro on Friday.

The ‘Rossoneri’ are currently top of the league table, two points ahead of the rest and without a loss in their last four games (W2, D2).

Their last outing was a disappointing one which saw them held to a 2-2 draw with bottom side Salernitana.

However, that result should keep them grounded, knowing that they cannot take anything for granted.

Meanwhile, Stefano Pioli’s side have had a patchy form at home in recent times, winning just two of their last five league games (D1, L2). They will be desperate to win this game to avoid dropping out of the top of the table.

Given that they have lost just one of their last 14 games against Udinese, they will fancy their chances of getting a good result here.

Possible AC Milan starting line-up

Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi, Fikayo Tomori, Alessio Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez, Franck Kessie, Sandro Tonali, Alexis Saelemaekers, Junior Messias, Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud.

Injured: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Simon Kjaer

Doubtful: Marko Lazetic

Suspended: Ismael Bennacer

Udinese

Udinese boosted their chances of survival last week when they held high-flying Lazio to a 1-1 draw.

In an entertaining encounter at the Dacia Arena, Udinese came out flying from the off. They took the lead in the opening five minutes through Gerard Deulofeu. But for all their impressive attacking showing in the first 45 minutes, they could not hold on to their lead as they allowed Felipe Anderson to equalise for Lazio.

The result moved them four points clear of the drop zone ahead of this tie, having played two games less than some of the teams currently in the drop zone.

Recent performances will give the ‘Bianconeri’ a belief that they can avoid relegation this season. Given that they have scored in each of their last six visits to San Siro. https://twitter.com/Udinese_1896/status/1496741687552528390
