The super-agent says the Dutch centre-back is interested in a new challenge next summer.

Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt is keen on an exit next summer, reveals his agent Mino Raiola.

The highly-rated Dutch centre-back moved to Turin in 2019 for a large sum of money, however he has failed to meet the expectations.

The 22-year-old has struggled to be consistent thus far at Allianz Stadium, failing to replicate the form he had at Ajax.

Now, he could be on the move before we get to see him living up to his potential at Juventus.

Raiola said (h/t Metro): “He[De Ligt] is ready for a new step. He thinks that, too.”

The super-agent also claimed that BarcelonaReal Madrid and PSG could be the next potential destination for the Netherlands international.

Raiola added: “We can all think of the clubs that Matthijs could go to. Then you don’t talk about Fortuna Dusseldorf with all due respect. In the summer we have to see if there are clubs on the market.

“That can be the Premier League, but also Barcelona, Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain.”

Barca, perhaps, tried to recruit De Ligt before his transfer to the Bianconeri in 2019. The Catalan giants wanted to add the Dutch star to the ranks after acquiring his former Ajax teammate Frenkie de Jong.

However, it remains to be seen whether they have enough financial resources to fund De Ligt’s transfer, especially when they are in the middle of a crisis.

Chelsea showed interest in De Ligt during the last summer window, but he ended up staying at Turin.

The Blues’ interest hasn’t changed as they could lose two top-class centre-backs Antonio Rudiger and Andres Christensen for free when their contract runs out next summer.
