Barcelona will not sign Torres in January

Barcelona have ruled out a potential January move for Manchester City forward Ferran Torres, reports Fichajes via Barca Universal.

The Catalans have identified the Spanish forward as a top target however a transfer in January looks a far-fetched one.

The report also added that Barca, who are cash-strapped, are focused on signing Edinson Cavani from Manchester United.

The Uruguayan striker is open to leaving Old Trafford in the winter transfer exchange after going down the pecking order.

The 34-year-old will have his contract run out at the end of this season and the Blaugrana are planning to sign him initially on loan.

New manager Xavi prefers to sign a striker at present and sees Cavani as a top-addition.

The former PSG star has made only five Premier League appearances at Man Utd this season.

Marcus Rashford wants to join Barca

Barca are said to be keeping tabs on Man Utd forward Marcus Rashford, who they have identified as a replacement for Sergio Aguero.

According to a new report from Metro, the English forward is open to moving to the Nou Camp if the Catalans come knocking at his doors.

Like Cavani, Rashford has also found himself down the pecking order due to the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.

Barca are looking to pounce on the situation and would try to sign him next summer. But they face tough competition from Ligue 1 giants PSG.

The 24-year-old has made only six starts in the Premier League since returning from a shoulder injury.
