Sergio Aguero is set to leave Manchester City at the end of this season after spending around a decade, confirmed by the club.

With his future destination unknown, top clubs from Europe, including Barcelona, PSG and Chelsea, are said to be vying for his free transfer this summer.

However, recent reports claim that the Argentine is happy staying put in the Premier League, with a Tottenham said to be one of the potential suitors.

Aguero would be happy to represent the Spurs, although they can’t warranty Champions League football due to a whirlwind season.

Chelsea are also understood to be monitoring the 33-year-old as Thomas Tuchel looks to strengthen his attack, which has been underwhelming this term compared to the defence and the midfield.

Aguero can be a worthy addition to Jose Mourinho’s side, given his experience and world-class quality. With him, Spurs can reduce the burden on Harry Kane, who continues to be their only shining line even under challenging circumstances.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United plotting shock Aguero move

Leeds United are plotting an audacious swoop for Aguero this summer as they look for a life without their record buy Rodrigo.

The Spaniard moved to Elland Road in a highly anticipated transfer last summer but has failed to live up to his expectations. Now, the Whites are willing to cash in on him.

In the case of Aguero’s arrival, Marcelo Bielsa can join hands with his compatriot, and his expansive style of play would be worthy of interest to Man City starlet.

Patrick Bamford, the focal point of Bielsa’s attack, has been impressive this season as he is fourth in the list of Premier League’s top scorer (14 goals).
