Vinicius set for a new six-year Real Madrid contract with a €1bn release clause

 Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior has been in exceptional form this season and the Spanish giants are looking to reward him with a bumper new contract.

According to AS, the player currently has a release clause of around €700 million but Real Madrid are looking to increase that to €1 billion.

Furthermore, the 21-year-old attacker is currently earning around €3 million per season at the Spanish club and the new deal is likely to put him in the wage bracket of around €8 million.

The player is expected to sign a new six-year contract which will keep him at Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2028. The extension should be confirmed by the end of the season. 

The Brazilian has developed into one of the most exciting young attackers around Europe right now and it is no surprise that Real Madrid are planning to tie him down to a long term contract.

Los Blancos are building a squad for the future and Vinicius is undoubtedly one of the key players at the club right now. The youngster has chipped in with vital performances across all competitions this season and he has helped his side grind out important results.

The report adds that the impending departure of players like Isco will fund the new deal for Vinicius.
