Summer transfer window is nearing and Europe’s top clubs are expected to do some good business. Last time we failed to witness any breathtaking transfers due to pandemic but that couldn’t be the case this time around. We also came to know that strikers are in great demand after the constant transfer rumours of Erling Haaland linking with various clubs. Here are some of the strikers who are expected to seal transfers this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus ace Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to be available in the market after the Italian club’s yet another disappointing Champions League campaign let alone Serie A. The 36-year-old still looks like the player he was years ago and hence giants like PSG, Manchester United and even his former club Real Madrid are interested in recruiting him. Although the Portuguese ace remains a frustrated figure at Turin, Juve director Fabio Paratici has recently insisted that they would like to keep Ronaldo for next season. But the stance could easily change if Juve fails to win the Scudetto.

Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero has had an injury-ravaged campaign so far in the Premier League and adding more to his misery, the Argentine is yet to resolve his future with Manchester City as his contract expires at the end of the season. The Argentine is said to be interested in a move to Barcelona where his compatriot Lionel Messi plays. The newly elected president of Barca Joan Laporta believes that Aguero’s signing can help him convince Messi to stay at the Nou Camp. Besides, Chelsea and Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on the 33-year-old.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane continues to give his best for Tottenham although the club is on a downward spiral. Hence it begs the question for how long the English striker will waste his career playing for the North Londoners. Experts and pundits have had their say on Kane that he needs to move to a bigger club to relish his prime years. Manchester United and City are tipped to sign the 27-year-old if he decides to move away from Spurs.

Edinson Cavani

Cavani’s time at Manchester United hasn’t gone in the way he would have planned since his transfer last summer. The Uruguayan has failed to become a regular starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer although he has produced some bright cameos this season. The former PSG man is said to be unhappy over the lack of playing time with the Red Devils and Boca Juniors have been touted as a possible destination for him.

Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku’s monstrous form at Inter Milan has helped them to lead the race for Scudetto this season. After his forgetful spell at Man Utd, the Belgian has established himself as one of the best strikers of Europe. Manchester City and Barcelona are dreaming of signing the 26-year-old and such transfer interest manifests his true value.

Danny Ings

Manchester City are said to be plotting a shock summer move for Southampton striker Danny Ings and if you wonder why Citizens are interested in a name that doesn’t match their ambitions, Ings’ spectacular goal scoring form last season is the answer. The 28-year-old is one of the underrated strikers in the English top-flight and it is safe to say that he is enjoying the best years of his career with the Saints, racking up 22 goals in the Premier League last season and he has found the nets eight times this term.

Patson Daka

Red Bull Salzburg is the talent factory for producing some of the finest strikers. After Erling Haalands’ exit, the Austrian club have managed to replace him with Patson Daka, who has already scored 20 goals in 18 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga this season. The 22-year-old is understood to be on the radar of Premier League giants like Manchester United, City and Liverpool.

Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi has his contract running until at the end of the season and the Argentine remains coy over his future. The fans fear that anything could happen in Messi’s future following his burofax incident last year. However, the appointment of Laporta is reported to have changed the stance of Messi, who is wanted by PSG.

Paolo Dybala

Paulo Dybala has a contract situation unresolved for a very long time in Juventus. He was unceremoniously put in selling list when Maurizio Sarri arrived at Turin. He ended the season as ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) in Serie A.

After Andrea Pirlo, his former teammate at Juventus, took over situation remains same for Argentinian. Juventus infused talents in attacking line and Dybala was not available for selection fora series of medical reasons. Of late, he has raised transfer interest from Premier League clubs like Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Erling Haaland

Last but not least, Erling Haaland is arguably the most sought-after striker in Europe at the moment, with Europe’s elite are tussling for his signature. The 20-year-old has been considered as the player who can take on the mantle from greats like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Haaland’s rich vein of form is bailing out Dortmund week in and week out and he has recently stated that he is not bothered about the speculations surrounding him regarding an exit from the Signal Iduna Park.
