Edouard Mendy announcement imminent

Chelsea could announce the signing of Rennes goalkeeper on Saturday, insisted by his agent.

The 28-year-old has been tipped to fight for the No.1 spot or even replace Kepa Arrizabalaga at Stamford Bridge.

Mendy’s agent said,

“The two parties have come to an agreement.”

“All that’s left is the formalisation. It could even be done tomorrow if all goes well.

“Afterwards, the player himself will come to finalise everything, including having his medical examination.”

Rennes eyeing Tomori loan

The Ligue 1 outfit are looking to sign Fikayo Tomori on loan as a part of Mendy’s deal. Rennes are said to be wanting around 28m euros with the inclusion of Tomori for the transfer of Mendy. The 22-year-old is also wanted by Premier League outfit Everton.

Frank Lampard comments on Callum Hudson-Odoi’s links

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has responded to the transfer links of Callum Hudson Odoi to Bayern Munich.

“I’ve got no idea; I’ve not got anything. I don’t know if there is any truth on it, so not much to say I suppose.”

However, the Blues manager insisted Hudson-Odoi to work hard to earn his place in the first-team.

Declan Rice not for sale

West Ham United have deemed Declan Rice as untransferable at any cost. The English midfielder is understood to be a top target for the Blues, who are expected to make an offer for the Hammers after securing Mendy.
