Salah speaks out amid Barcelona interest

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move to Barcelona, with new manager Xavi appearing to be a huge admirer of him.

The Egyptian international’s contract at Anfield expires in 2023 and he reportedly wants to be the club’s top-earner in his new deal.

Salah’s contract situation has sparked his exit speculations and La Liga giants Barca are said to be one of his potential suitors.

However, the 29-year-old has now insisted that he wants to stay at Anfield, though, he is flattered by the interest from the Spanish giants.

Salah said (h/t Goal): “I read what was said about Xavi’s interest to sign me.

“This is something that makes me happy that a team like Barcelona is interested in me, but I’m happy in Liverpool and we will see what happens in the future.

“At the moment, I prefer to stay in the Premier League as it’s the strongest league in the world.”

Mbappe doesn’t rule out staying at PSG

PSG forward Kylian Mbappe will have his contract run out at the end of this season.

It has been highly speculated that the French ace would not sign a new contract with Les Parisiens and join long-time suitors Real Madrid.

The La Liga giants tried to sign Mbappe last summer but PSG turned down their offer worth €180m.

Now, Mbappe has opened up about his future, hinting that he could end up staying at the French capital club.

Mbappe said (h/t Goal): “I don’t know. Today I have to take the time. It is not easy. Either way, I’ll be playing for a big club.

“At first I was disappointed [not to leave]. But well, I am not in the third division, I am in a club that wants to win the Champions League. I am Parisian, I have my family, I feel good, I have always said it. I just wanted to discover something else.”
