The 16-year-old will soon join the Bavarians’ U-19 set-up.

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of highly talented Croatian prospect Lovro Zvonarek.

The Bavarians confirmed the announcement on their official website that 16-year-old from Slaven Belupo has agreed to a long-term contract.

The teenage attacking midfielder also became the youngest scorer in the Croatian top-flight history last season.

Bayern also expressed their happiness on adding a fine talent to their ranks: “Lovro was with us on campus for a trial training session in the spring. We have not only been convinced of his great development potential since these days and are very pleased that he has decided to move to FC Bayern.”

Zvonarek also said that he is elated to join a European giant like Bayern: “FC Bayern is one of the largest and most successful clubs in the world. To play here in the future and to be able to wear this shirt makes me proud. And it also encourages me to work hard on myself every day.”

Bayern have been producing some fine talents from their youth ranks for a while and Zvonarek could be next in the line.

It turned out to be a quiet transfer window for the Bundesliga champions as they managed to sign only Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig.

Bayern are off to a thunderous start to their new Bundesliga campaign under Julian Nagelsmann, winning 3 three of the four games so far. Their recent victory came against RB Leipzig.
