Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is set to leave the German Bundesliga club at the end of this season, and his suitors will have to shell out a massive amount of money in order to secure his services.

According to a report from Spanish publication Marca, Real Madrid and Barcelona are keen on signing the Norwegian international. Still, they will need to shell out a package worth in the region of €350 million for the 21-year-old striker.

According to the report, the package will include the €75 million release clause of the player and commissions for the player’s father and agent, Mino Raiola.

Furthermore, the package will also comprise of the wages that will be paid to Haaland over the next six years.

It will be interesting to see whether the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona are willing to shell out that kind of money to secure the 21-year-old’s signature at the end of this season.

There is no doubt that the Dortmund striker is one of the best players in the world, and he has the potential to improve further with experience and coaching.

Barcelona are currently going through a financial crisis. It seems highly unlikely that they will be able to put together a package necessary to lure the player to Camp Nou this summer.

However, Real Madrid are in a healthier financial situation, and the Spanish giants might be able to afford the massive transfer package if they get rid of their fringe players at the end of the season.

Haaland has already proven himself in the Bundesliga, and he needs a new challenge in his career right now. A move to the Spanish league could be the ideal step up in his career, and it remains to be seen where he ends up eventually.

The striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League as well, where the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea might be able to afford his massive transfer package.
