Nagelsmann eyeing defensive additions

Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on adding a centre-back before the transfer window closes this summer

They have already improved their attack with the addition of Sadio Mane from Liverpool, and it will be interesting to see if Julian Nagelsmann can add to his defensive unit as well.

Niklas Sule completed a move to Borussia Dortmund earlier, and Bayern will have to bring in a replacement for the German.

According to AZ, the likes of Gleison BremerMatthijs de Ligt and Kalidou Koulibaly are options for the Bavarian giants. However, Bremer is strongly linked with Inter Milan, and De Ligt will be a very expensive purchase.

Koulibaly remains a logical option, but he would be a short-term signing because of his age. The Senegalese defender has one year left on his deal with Napoli, and he could be available for a knockdown price.

Bayern had a poor European campaign last year, and they struggled defensively. Bringing in a quality defender will be their top priority now.

Samba Diallo linked with a summer move

Meanwhile, Bayern are keeping tabs on the Dynamo Kyiv winger Samba Diallo as well.

The 19-year-old winger has been on their radar for a while, and his performances have impressed the club officials Hasan Salihamidzic and Marco Neppe.

It will be interesting to see if the Germans can agree on a fee for the youngster in the coming weeks now.

Diallo has the potential to develop into a top-class player for Bayern in the long run.

Serge Gnabry has been linked with a move away from the German club, and Diallo could be his long-term replacement at the Allianz Arena.
