German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have placed a £100million price tag on Christopher Nkunku to scare away suitors.

According to reports, Leipzig do not want to lose the Frenchman this summer and have so moved to make him too pricy for those who are circling for his services.

Nkunku is one of the hottest properties in Europe after scoring a superb 35 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions last season. Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris-Saint Germain are the clubs rumoured to be keen on signing the Frenchman.

But according to the Independent, Leipzig want £100m to prise away clubs cueing up for their in-form forward.

Nkunku is reportedly willing to stay at the Red Bull Arena this season, and Leipzig have convinced him to sign a new contract with a release clause to keep him for one more year.

The five-cap France international enjoyed his second season in Germany, having made the move from PSG in 2019.

And recently he admitted to being flattered by the speculation regarding his transfer future.

He told Telefoot: “It’s no secret. There are clubs interested in me.

“Yes, it’s flattering, but it’s also flattering to have a club like Leipzig do everything to keep me as well.

“I’ll have to reflect and make a decision. The World Cup is on the way and that’s another factor to take into account.”
