Tottenham will have to pay £50m for Everton star Richarlison

Richarlison-Everton

Everton striker Richarlison has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer.

The 25-year-old helped Everton beat the relegation battle last season and he wants to test himself at a higher level now.

The Brazilian is keen on playing Champions League football and he has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Antonio Conte helped the Londoners secure a top-four finish towards the end of last season and Spurs will need to reinforce their squad in order to do well in the European competitions next year.

The Londoners are overly reliant on the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min and therefore bringing in another forward should be a top priority for them.

Richarlison will add goals and creativity in the final third. Furthermore, the Brazilian is a hardworking player who will help out defensively as well.

The 25 year old Everton player can operate anywhere across the front three and his versatility will be an added bonus for Antonio Conte.

Furthermore, the Brazilian is well settled in the Premier League and he should be able to make an immediate impact upon his move to Tottenham.

A report from the Telegraph claims that Everton are demanding a fee of around £50m for the Brazilian international and it remains to be seen whether Spurs are willing to pay that kind of money for his services. Apparently, Spurs could look to offer a couple of players in exchange in order to bring the asking price down.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has a reputation of being cautious when it comes to transfers.

That said, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool are well ahead of Tottenham in terms of quality right now and the Londoners must be prepared to spend heavily if they want to compete for the Premier League title and the Champions league trophy in the coming seasons.
