Chelsea have eight first-team players unavailable for their pre-season training camp as they're quarantined amid Coronavirus outbreak.

Chelsea are currently without eight first-team players for their pre-season training camp because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Eight first-team Chelsea players quarantined

According to reports, some of the Chelsea players have tested positive for the virus and they are currently, self-isolating.

The likes of Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, Michy Batshuayi, Jorginho, Emerson and Ross Barkley  are some of the players who are currently quarantined.

Most of these players were holidaying in Mykonos, Greece.

The new Premier League season begins in three weeks and it will be interesting to see how Chelsea cope with the loss of these players if they fail to recover in time.

Furthermore, even if the players recover in time for the season to start they will be lacking in match fitness because they are currently missing the pre-season training camp.

New Signings for Chelsea

It seems that Frank Lampard might have to rely on his squad players and the new signings for the first few weeks of the season.

Chelsea have had a very impressive transfer window so far and they have managed to sign Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr so far. 

Kai Havertz is expected to join the Blues as well.

Chelsea will be expected to challenge for the Premier League title this coming season. Frank Lampard has been heavily backed in the transfer market and the former Chelsea midfielder can have no excuses now.

It will be interesting to see if they can beat the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool to the title next season.
