De Bruyne starts off in imperious form as Man City cruise past Wolves 3-1

Manchester City are looking to agree on a new deal with Kevin De Bruyne.

According to reports, the Premier League giants want to agree a new five-year contract with the Belgian midfielder and they have held positive discussions with the midfielder’s legal representatives earlier this month.

An agreement is yet to be reached and further talks are planned between the players camp and the club in the coming weeks.

Apparently, talks are progressing well and the midfielder is expected to sign a deal in the coming months that will run until the end of the 2024-25 season.

De Bruyne is arguably the best midfielder in the Premier League and it is no surprise that Manchester City want to keep him at the club for the long term.

The Premier League side need players like him in order to win the title and challenge for the Champions League every year and it will be interesting to see if they can convince the Belgian to commit his long-term future to their cause.

Manchester City signed the Belgian from Wolfsburg in 2015 for a fee of 55 million pounds and the 29-year-old has developed into a world-class player over the last five years.

Top clubs around the world will be looking to sign a player like him but Manchester City have the financial resources to convince the player to sign a new long term deal soon.
