Theo Hernandez-AC Milan

Milan return to the top of the table after Theo Hernandez winning it late.

Milan have edged out Lazio 3-2 at San Siro, with Theo Hernandez scoring a thrilling injury-time winner.

Lazio were close to holding Rossoneri for a draw after a brilliant fight-back but the French left-back crushed their hopes with a late winner.

The home side started strongly as Ante Rebic scored a perfect header from Calhanoglu’s set-piece in the 10th minute of the game. The latter one doubled the lead from the penalty spot minutes later when Rebic’s shot hit the hands of Patric.

Milan tasted their own medicine after conceding a penalty around the half-hour mark. Ciro Immobile had his shot denied by Donnarumma but Luis Alberto headed the ball into the nets from the rebound.

The Biancocelesti worked their way out to score the equaliser around the hour mark, with Immobile being the scorer once again as the Italian beat his compatriot Donnarumma with a brilliant left-footed strike.

And while it was thought the game was heading to a draw, Stefano Pioli’s side stunned Lazio with a dramatic goal in the stoppage time, this time it was left-back Theo Hernandez headed the ball into nets from the set-piece.

Simone Inzaghi’s men would be disappointed for not sharing the spoils with Milan despite their incredible fightback.

The thrilling win has put Milan back at the top of the table while their arch-rivals have been pushed to the second place with a point separating them.
