Premier League outfit Chelsea are interested in signing the Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule at the end of this season.
The German international has fallen down the pecking order at the Bavarian club and he could prove to be a quality addition to Thomas Tuchel’s defence.
The Chelsea manager needs to improve his defensive options during the summer transfer window and Sule would be ideal.
The German is highly rated in the Bundesliga and he has the potential to develop into a top-class player with coaching and experience.
With the likes of Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta in their twilight, Chelsea must look to invest in a quality centre back this summer.
It will be interesting to see if they can agree on a deal with the German giants for Sule.
New deals for Azpilicueta and Rudiger?
Meanwhile, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is facing a tricky decision regarding the future of Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger.
Both players are in the final year of their contract and Chelsea will have to make a decision on whether they want to renew their deals in the summer.
They cannot afford to lose both players on a free transfer next January and therefore a concrete decision will have to be made soon.
Both defenders have managed to establish themselves as starters under new manager Thomas Tuchel and it is evident that they are important to the German manager’s first-team plans.
