The duo ran the show once again in the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Inter Milan have produced a comprehensive 5-0 win over Ukrainian Champions Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-finals of Europa League.

The star duo, Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku put a brilliant show, sharing two goals apiece.

Martinez opened the scoring in the 19th minute of the game after a sublime cross from Nico Barella.

Shakhtar tried their very best to get back in the game, and the closest chance occurred in the second half when the striker Junior Moraes headed the ball straight into Handanovic.

Moments later, the hopes of Shakhtar was cut short by Danilo D’ Ambrosia, who provided the second goal. Inter piled on the pain of the Ukrainian outfit as Martinez and Lukaku went on to complete their brace. Both also registered an assist in the game.

The Belgian striker’s red hot streak continues as he has scored for the 10th consecutive game in the Europa League. Meanwhile, Martinez has returned to the fold after going dormant for several games.

The duo also reached a unique milestone as they have become the first to reach the 20-goal mark in all competitions for Inter since the legendary pair of Adriano and Obafemi in 2005.

Antonio Conte’s first season as the manager after a two-year break is nothing short of greatness as he had already led Inter to a second-place finish in the Scudetto. Now a place in the Europa League finals.

The Nerazzurri will face Sevilla in the final on Friday.
