Barcelona confirm Adama Traore exit as Luuk de Jong rejoins PSV

Adama Traore and Luuk de Jong have made exit as their Barcelona contract expired last June 30. 

On 29 January 2022, Barcelona announced that they had reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers to bring Traoré back on a loan, with a contract until 30 June 2022 and an option to make the deal permanent. However, Traore struggled for consistency, with just four La Liga starts in 2022.

Therefore, Traoré returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers after the club choose not to sign him permanently. On 1 July 2022.

Meanwhile, De Jong arriving from Sevilla last summer enjoyed a stronger run in Barcelona. Leaving Barcelona with five crucial league goals since the start of 2022. On 31 August 2021, de Jong joined Barcelona on a season-long loan until 30 June 2022.  

According to Yard,  PSV head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy previously hinted at his desire to bring De Jong back. On 2 July 2022, It was confirmed and returned to PSV for an estimated €3.5m.
