Barca keeping tabs on Andre Silva

Barcelona are reportedly keeping close tabs on Frankfurt striker Andre Silva as they continue their search for a new No.9.

Silva has been in terrific form for Frankfurt this season, garnering 21 goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances.

However, it has been reported the deal for the former Sevilla man would be a difficult one given the club’s current financial crisis.

Moreover, Barca manager Ronald Koeman is said to be keen on Lyon forward Memphis Depay, who would be available for free this summer.

Barcelona want Andre Silva from Eintracht Frankfurt. He's valued around €40M. Joan Laporta has a good relationship with Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, which could lower the price of the deal.

Messi could extend his contract at Barca, claims Rivaldo.

Barca legend Rivaldo has stated that Lionel Messi could end up signing a new deal with the Catalans instead of moving to PSG or Manchester City.

The Brazilian legend believes that Messi is happy after Barca’s recent upturn of form coincided with the Argentine’s.

Furthermore, the arrival of Joan Laporta as the new president could placate the situation surrounding Messi.

“Barcelona are massively improving in the last few weeks capitalising on Lionel Messi’s superb form and the election of a new president.

“Messi looks much more connected and happier since Juan Laporta’s arrival – a president he knows well.

“For that reason, I’m starting to believe more and more that Messi might reach an agreement with the new board and sign a new contract to stay at the club for a few more years.”

Lately we’re seeing Messi appear more often than before, more since Laporta returned. He even had the gesture of voting for the first time and attended Laporta’s presentation…all these signs show that he is open to talk and even reach an agreement with the club.

It would benefit Barcelona much more to retain an icon like Leo than to go out to find new players, where you don’t know how they will adapt to a club as big as Barcelona.

Barca to compete Arsenal, PSG for Emerson

Barcelona-bound Emerson, who is currently at Real Betis, has been reportedly wanted by Arsenal as they seek a replacement for Hector Bellerin.

Bellerin has been linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium this summer, with both PSG and Barca keeping tabs on him.

The Gunners cite Emerson as the ideal alternative for the Spaniard and is rated around £10m.
