Martin Odegaard future

Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard joined Arsenal on loan in January and the Norwegian has made quite an impact at the London club so far.

Odegaard has established himself as a key starter for Mikel Arteta and there have been rumours that the Gunners could try and him permanently at the end of this season.

According to reports, Real Madrid are not keen on selling the player this summer and the Norwegian is still part of their first-team plans.

It will be interesting to see if Odegaard can hold down a regular starting berth at Santiago Bernabeu if he returns to the Spanish club next season.

He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and if Real Madrid cannot provide him with that platform he should look to move on.

Zidane linked with France job

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has recently been linked with the French national team job and it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid can hold onto him beyond this season.

France manager Didier Deschamps will be hoping to do well in the Euros but if he fails to deliver the trophy, the world champions might look for a new direction and Zidane wouldn’t be a bad option for them.

The Real Madrid manager has proven himself at the club level and he has won every trophy possible with the Spanish outfit.

His appointment could bring some fresh ideas to the French national team and it will be interesting to see where he ends up in future.

Didier Deschamps: "Zidane's success as a coach has given him a lot of credibility on the bench. He had the legitimacy, but now he has the credibility. It is probable that one day he could succeed me on the bench as he already did looking for his team." #rmlive
