Celta Vigo

Celta Vigo will look to extend their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions when they welcome bottom of the table Levante to Vigo on Monday night.

The hosts come into this tie on the back of a 0-0 draw with Cadiz. The draw followed two-nil wins over Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad and a disappointing 2-2 draw with Sevilla.

It also leaves the visitors sitting in tenth place after 24 games. Having overcome a poor start to the season, they have brought themselves to within eight points of the European spots.

If they can continue the consistency they have shown these past few weeks, they can mount a serious charge to finish in the top seven places.

Possible Celta Vigo starting line-up

Matias Dituro; Hugo Mallo, Joseph Aidoo, Nestor Araujo, Javi Galan; Fran Beltran; Brais Mendez, Denis Suarez, Franco Cervi; Santi Mina, Iago Aspas.

Doubtful: None

Levante

Levante pulled off arguably the biggest shock in La Liga this season when they defeated defending champions Atletico Madrid last time out.

The 1-0 away win was secured courtesy of a second-half goal by Gonzalo Melero and represented Levante’s second win in the league this season.

The result was also their first away win this year and was the first time Alessio Lisci’s side kept a clean sheet away from home since April 2021.

With that remarkable result in the bag, they will now hope that their poor season can kick off from this point.

The visitors remain rooted in the table after 24 games, having taken 14 points so far. Although their chances of survival remain very slim, they have given themselves some hope and will be taking it one game at a time.

Possible Levante starting line-up

Dani Cardenas; Pier Rober, Oscar Duarte, Martin Caceres; Jorge Miramon, Mickael Malsa, Gonzalo Melero, Son; Luis Morales, Dani Gomez, Jorge de Frutos.

Injured: Shkodran Mustafi, Ruben Vezo, Nemanja Radoja, Enric Franquesa, Sergio Postigo and Jose Campana

Doubtful: None
