Udinese

Udinese will look to get back to winning ways in the league when they welcome Lazio to Dacia Arena on Sunday.

The hosts who have been struggling in recent weeks find themselves sitting in 15th place after 23 games, having won only 24 points (W5, D9, L9),

They are currently three points ahead of Cagliari in the relegation zone.

Their last match was a disappointing 4-0 loss away to Verona and saw them fail to score for the third time in their last four games.

Although this is not their worst season across the last ten years – they survived the drop in 2018/19 despite having five fewer points at this stage of the campaign – they still sit uncomfortably close to the relegation zone.

They will be hoping to get a result here to ensure that they end the weekend sitting in the relegation zone.

Possible Udinese starting line-up

Marco Silvestri; Rodrigo Becao, Pablo Mari, Nehuen Perez; Molina, Tolgay Arslan, Walace, Jean-Victor Makengo, Brandon Soppy; Gerard Deulofeu, Beto.

Lazio

After their disappointing outing in the Europa League, Lazio will look to continue their impressive run in the league this Sunday against Udinese.

Maurizio Sarri’s side were beaten 2-1 by FC Porto in the Europa League playoff round on Thursday, leaving their European destiny hanging on a balance this year.

But in the league, they have enjoyed much success in the past few days and come into this tie sitting third in the form table having taken ten points from the last available 15. Only Napoli (13) and Juventus (11) have taken more points in that period.

As a result of their recent upturn in form, the visitors have solidified their grip of the last Europa League position in the table, and are also making a good case for a top-four finish.

They come into this round of fixtures sitting in sixth, four points behind Juventus in fourth. After their early season wobble, they have steadied themselves and come into this tie on a run of three league games without conceding a goal.

Given their dominance in this future, they will fancy their chances of getting another win as they look to keep picking up the points that will help them finish the season inside the top four.

Possible Lazio starting line-up

Thomas Strakosha; Elseid Hysaj, Patric, Luis Felipe, Adam Marusic; Danilo Cataldi, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Basic; Felipe Anderson, Mattia Zaccagni, Pedro.

Injured: Manuel Lazzari, Francesco Acerbi, Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, Ciro Immobile,
