Tottenham are looking to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes.

Manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he wants a new striker and the club are aware of his demands.

He said: “I want a striker. But I want to make it very clear that the club – if you want to call it the club or the structure above me – knows I need a striker and they also want a striker. I believe we will get a striker, I honestly believe so.”

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham and improve their attacking options in the coming weeks.

The Londoners have a world-class striker in Harry Kane but they need to bring in a quality alternative. The Premier League side struggled badly when Kane was injured last season and they cannot afford to go into another season with just one reliable goalscorer in the squad.

Tottenham have been linked with the likes of Joshua King and Arkadiusz Milik so far and it will be interesting to see who they end up signing eventually.

The Premier League side will be looking to get back into the top four next season and they will need to add more depth and quality to their site in order to achieve their goals.

Mourinho has already improved his defensive and midfield options with new signings and it will be interesting to see if the club can deliver a new striker in the coming weeks.
