Osasuna

After an impressive start to the season that saw them compete for the league’s top spot at some point early in the season, Osasuna’s form has tallied off a bit in recent weeks.

The hosts come into this tie winless in their last seven league games. Their most recent outing saw them draw 0-0 with Levante, leaving them in 10th place and trailing fourth-placed Atletico Madrid by eight points.

‘Los Rojillos’ may be seven points better off at this stage than last season, but they are in danger of seeing their positive start to the season descend into more misery if they don’t figure out how to arrest their slump soon.

With the season gradually nearing its midway point, Jagoba Arrasate will be desperate for his side to win this game and avoid being pushed completely out of the top ten.

Possible Osasuna starting line-ups

Sergio Herrera; Nacho Vidal, Unai Garcia, David Garcia, Manuel Sanchez; Darko Brasanac, Jon Moncayola, Lucas Torro,  Ruben Garcia; Chimy Avila, Ante Budimir.

Injured: Jesus Areso, Rober Ibanez

Doubtful: Kike, Juan Perez

Suspended: None

Barcelona

After their humiliating loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Barcelona return to La Liga action looking to begin their rebuilding process.

Xavi’s side lost 3-0 to their German counterparts in midweek, a game that sent them to the Europa League for the first time in 17 years. Now they travel to Pamplona looking to respond positively and get their floundering season back on track.

The Blaugrana lost their last La Liga game to Betis – their first loss under Xavi. The result ended a run of six games without defeat for the visitors and pushed them six points behind the top four places.

But an excellent record against Osasuna means Barca enter this game as the favourites. Also, a record of three goals in each of their last two league road trips (W1, D1) means that they will be positive of getting a result in this tie.

Possible Barcelona starting line-ups

Ter Stegen; Sergino Dest, Ronald Araujo, Gerard Pique, Oscar Mingueza; Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets, Nico Gonzalez; Gavi, Yusuf Demir, Ousmane Dembele.

Injured: Martin Braithwaite, Ansu Fati, Pedri, Sergi Roberto, Sergio Aguero,  Jordi Alba, Memphis Depay.

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
