Burnley

Burnley continued their poor start to the season with a 1-0 loss to fellow relegation side Newcastle last time out.

The loss extended their wait for a league win to four games and ensured that Sean Dyche’s side could not escape out of the relegation zone.

The Clarets are currently seated in 18th place, level on points with the rest of the two teams in the relegation zone. They require a win to dig themselves out of the hole but are coming into this tie on the back of one win all season.

They, alongside Newcastle, are the only side to have won just one game all season. Although they have lost just one of their last six league games, they are still struggling to convert chances.

The Clarets are playing in their sixth straight season in the top flight but are in danger of crashing a level down unless they can fix their leaky back line that has conceded six goals in their last five games.

Possible Burnley starting line-ups

Nick Pope; Matthew Lowton, Ben Mee, James Tarkowski, Charlie Taylor; Berg Gudmundsson, Ashley Westwood, Josh Brownhill, Dwight McNeil; Matej Vydra, Chris Wood.

West Ham United

West Ham will travel to Lancashire this Sunday looking to continue their impressive season.

The visitors come into this tie on the back of a disappointing yet meaningless loss to Zagreb in the UEFA Europa League. The loss was immaterial, as West Ham had qualified for the next stage of the competition as group leaders.

David Moyes made several changes to the starting XI that lost that game because of this more important game against Burnley. The Scotsman and his side are chasing Champions League football this season and are currently sitting in fourth place.

They beat Chelsea 3-2 in their last PL outing saw to truly cement their status as a big club and one that should be taken seriously.

With the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal bearing down on them on the table, the Hammers will be desperate to avoid dropping points at the critical stage of the season.

A win will be their priority here as they look to build on that win famous win against Chelsea and maintain their place in the top four.
