The signing of Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco draws the second-highest fee in Monaco’s history after Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe signed a contract with PSG for €180m in August 2017. Real Madrid took the risk of investing €100m in a 22-year-old. According to The Guardian, Tchouameni agreed on a six-year deal following his medical with La Liga giants.

The amount believes to be €80m, with another €20m in add-ons (a combined £85.3m). His record of being Ligue 1’s young player of the year in 2020-21 caught the attention of Liverpool and Paris St-Germain

However, Real Madrid won the race to sign the French player as they had been negotiating with the Tchouaméni since March. Tchouameni is one of the youngest talents in football. He has almost made himself a regular member of star-studded France’s national team.

He scored 5 goals and 3 assists and made 50 appearances for Monaco across all competitions in 2021-22.

Tchouaméni is gifted with such an incredible talent of playing both as a defensive and central midfielder, excelling both from the said positions. He will add options for the Los Blancos along with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Eduardo Camavinga in the midfield at Santiago Bernabeu.
