Paris Saint-Germain looking to sign Richarlison as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe

Richarlison-Everton

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sign the Everton forward Richarlison as a potential replacement for French international forward Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid are increasingly confident of signing the World Cup winner before the transfer window closes on Tuesday, and PSG have already started looking for replacements.

Richarlison has a contract with Everton until the summer of 2024, and the Toffees are under no pressure to cash in on him. However, the chance to join a club like PSG could prove to be hard to turn down for the player, and he’s likely to push for a move if a concrete offer is placed on the table.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from Everton in the past, but Carlo Ancelotti convinced him to continue at Goodison Park.

Richarlison has been a key player for Everton since his big-money move from Watford, and it is no surprise that the Toffees are looking to hold on to him this summer.

Manager Rafael Benitez has already dismissed the possibility of the Brazilian international leaving before Tuesday’s deadline.

Benitez said: “We are not considering selling him. He’s our player, we’re pleased with him, really happy, and hopefully, he can score a lot of goals this year for us.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid had an opening bid return down for Mbappe, but it seems that their second bid has brought Ligue 1 side to the negotiating table.

It remains to be seen whether all parties can come to an agreement and finalise the transfer soon.
