Philippe Coutinho scored an excellent hat-trick, and Robert Lewandowski hit the back of the net twice as Bayern Munich thrashed Werder Bremen 6-1 at Allianz Arena.
Coutinho’s former club, Barcelona were held for a 2-2 draw, despite Messi, Suarez, and Griezmann starting for the Catalan club.
Brazilian Philippe Coutinho tapped home Bayern’s first before an outrageous lob over the keeper for his second and then curled a 20-yard shot for his hat-trick at 78″ of the match.
Milot Rashica had put Werder ahead before Bayern fought back to secure 6-1 win. Thomas Muller scored at 75″ of the match.
Lewandowski moved his tally to 29 goals from 23 outings. He scored at closing moments of first half and 72″.
Bayern Munich moved up from seventh to fourth in the table. They lost their previous two league games.
