Manchester United ready to spend whopping £153m for Ansu Fati

Barcelona 2-1 Levante - Fati, youngest player to score LaLiga double

The Red Devils are looking keen on Barcelona wonderkid.

Manchester United have turned their attention towards Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati.

According to reports, Man Utd are willing to pay out Fati’s whopping release clause of £153m.

United have recently withdrawn their interest in Jadon Sancho after failing to meet Borussia Dortmund’s £108m valuation. Surprisingly, they are now ready to pay more for Fati.

Fati had his breakout season last term, which eventually turned the heads of Manchester United. Barca remain steadfast in keeping the La Masia youngster for good and are said to be preparing a new contract, which would increase his buy-out clause up to around £360m.

However, United are willing to sign Fati before he signs a new contract with the Catalan club.

Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has recently declared that Fati as untransferable and added that the Spanish talent would continue his development with the first-team.

The 17-year-old has also been called up by the Spanish national team manager Luis Enrique for the upcoming Nations League games. Enrique also looks excited to work with Fati.

Elsewhere, Man Utd have started their search for the alternatives for Jadon Sancho, with Juventus ace Douglas Costa topping the wishlist.

The Red Devils have made a £27m bid for the Brazilian winger, who looks to be on his way out from Turin this summer.

It remains to be seen whom Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would sign as an alternative to Sancho in the summer transfer window.
