Lionel Messi has had a training ground bust up with Barcelona teammate Antoine Griezmann.
As per reports, manager Quique Setien was forced to intervene. The report also claims that the bust-up escalated to levels that cannot be ignored and Griezmann’s future at the club is in doubt.
The French attacker joined Barcelona in a £108 million deal from Atletico Madrid last summer and he has failed to deliver so far.
His form has not been up to the mark and his understanding with Messi on the pitch has been quite poor as well.
In the game against Leganes, Messi did not pass to the Frenchman once.
It will be interesting to see if Griezmann is shipped out this summer. If he is made available, there should be a lot of takers.
He is a top class attacker when on form and if Barcelona’s demands are reasonable, they might just be able to cash in on him this summer.
Griezmann was linked with Manchester United before his move to Barcelona. Perhaps a fresh start would be ideal for the Frenchman.
He is a quality player who could improve most teams across the globe when he is on form. He showed his quality with Sociedad and Atletico in the past.
Griezmann was very good in the World Cup with France as well and he helped his country win the prestigious tournament.
Furthermore, the report claims that Lionel Messi is all set to sign a new deal with the Catalan giants.
