Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer. If Napoli fail to sign Palmieri this summer, they could make a move for Tottenham's Ben Davies.

Lorenzo Insigne-Napoli

Insigne unwilling to accept pay-cut

Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer.

The 30-year-old has just one year left on his current contract with the Italian club, and the two parties have not managed to agree on an extension yet.

Napoli are looking to offer him reduced wages, and the player is not willing to accept a pay cut.

It will be interesting to see if the player decides to leave the club on a free transfer next summer.

Lorenzo Insigne has been a key player for Napoli over the years, and losing him would be a blow for the Italian outfit. He has been impressive in the Euros as well.

The 30-year-old Italian international will be able to agree on a pre-contract deal with another club once the January transfer window opens. It will be interesting to see if Napoli can tie him down to a long-term deal before that.

Napoli eyeing Ben Davies

Meanwhile, the Italian outfit are looking to bring in a left-back this summer, and Chelsea’s player Emerson Palmieri is on their radar.

If Napoli fail to sign Palmieri this summer, they could make a move for Tottenham’s Ben Davies.

The Welsh defender has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Sergio Reguilon, and he needs to leave the London club in order to play regularly.

It will be interesting to see who Napoli ends up signing eventually.

The Italian outfit submitted a bid of around €15 million for the Chelsea defender earlier this month.
