Adrien Rabiot’s wage demands have complicated Manchester United move

Man United hold talks with Adrien Rabiot amid Arsenal and Everton interest

Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, but the Red Devils are struggling to agree on personal terms with the Frenchman.

The 27-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a key player for the Italian club, and Juventus are prepared to cash in on him this summer.

According to a Mirror report, Manchester United has already agreed on a £15 million fee with Juventus for the central midfielder. Still, they have not been able to agree on personal terms with the player’s agent.

Rabiot’s mother Veronique, who is also his agent, is reportedly demanding a contract worth around £162,000 per week, an improvement of around £50,000 on his Juventus contract.

Apparently, the player was not keen on a move to Manchester United because of the absence of champions league football, but Erik Ten Hag’s project has won him over. However, he wants to be compensated fairly because he is taking a step down.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are willing to give in to his demands and sanction a lucrative contract for the Frenchman in the coming days.

It’s no secret that Manchester United need to add more quality and depth to their midfield, but Rabiot could be a bit of a gamble for them.

The Frenchman has not been able to establish himself as a key player at any of the clubs he has played for, and despite his tremendous potential, he has not been able to justify his talents so far.

There is no doubt that the 27-year-old could be a quality player for Erik Ten Hag, but it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can keep him motivated and extract top performances out of him every week.
