Arsenal

Mikel Arteta’s side will look to return to winning ways after succumbing to a 4-0 defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League last week.

The defeat against the Reds also ended their eight-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

They have an excellent record against Newcastle and would try to get the better of the bottom dwellers this Saturday.

Currently fifth in the table, Arsenal would push for the top-four spot by picking up three points against the Magpies.

Emile Smith Rowe has been in impressive form this season and he would play a bigger role this weekend. The 21-year-old also enjoyed a prolific international break with the Three Lions.

The striker duo of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette has also been putting in some impressive displays of late.

Possible Arsenal line-up

Newcastle United

Newcastle United have been disastrous this season, failing to win a single game in the Premier League.

Despite the fuss off the field – Saudi’s takeover and Eddie Howe’s appointment, Newcastle aren’t showing any signs of improvement with their performances.

However, Newcastle had few positives to take in their last league game against Brentford, which ended in a 3-3 draw. Allan Saint-Maximin grabbed a late equaliser to avoid Newcastle adding another defeat.

There are reports that Howe can lead Newcastle from the sidelines if he returns a negative test for COVID-19 on Friday.

Possible Newcastle United line-up

Martin Dubravka; Emil Krafth, Lascelles, Clark; Murphy, Joe Willock, Isaac Hayden, Ritchie; Joelinton, Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin
