Arsenal willing to splurge £68m for goal-machine Dusan Vlahovic

Dusan Vlahovic-Fiorentina

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a host of European giants.

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is one of the best young strikers at the moment following back to back productive seasons in Italy.

The young Serbian centre-forward has racked up 16 goals in the first half of Serie A this season and is only five goals away from equalling last season’s tally.

Vlahovic is likely to leave La Viola next summer after refusing to sign a contract extension.

His name is on the wishlist of top European clubs including Premier League giants Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal are said to be in the running for the 21-year-old and they want him to sign in the January transfer window.

According to Football 365, the Gunners are willing to pay £68m to acquire the services of Vlahovic immediately.

However, the North Londoners have a stumbling block as the Serbian is determined to help Fiorentina until the end of this season.

Arsenal are in the market for attacking reinforcements, with both Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette having their contracts run out next summer.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang’s future is also hanging in the balance after he was stripped from the captaincy due to a disciplinary breach. The Gabonese striker continues to get snubbed by Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have fought back well after a clumsy start in the Premier League this season, as they are currently fourth in the table.

They have also progressed to the semi-finals of the EFL Cup after defeating Sunderland comfortably. Liverpool will be their opponents in the semis next month.
