Chelsea have submitted an offer for the Barcelona keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The Blues are looking to improve their goalkeeping option and they have identified the German as a replacement for Kepa.
The Spaniard has been quite poor since joining the Blues and he will need to be upgraded on.
Ter Stegen is one of the best keepers in the world and he would be a stunning signing for Chelsea. He could help them push for the title next year.
The 28-year-old will be a free agent in 2022 and he could be available for a reasonable fee this summer. Apparently, Bayern Munich want to sign the player as well.
They want to bring the player back to Germany as a replacement for Manuel Neuer.
It will be interesting to see if the Blues can fend off the competition and bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
They have already signed two quality players in Ziyech and Werner. Signing Ter Stegen would improve them massively as a squad.
The likes of Alisson helped Liverpool challenge for the top honours recently after signing and Ter Stegen could have a similar impact at Chelsea.
The German international has the quality and the experience to adapt to the Premier League quickly and make an immediate impact next year.
Chelsea have been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak as well and it will be interesting to see who they end up with in the end.
