French outfit Paris Saint Germain are keen on signing the player, but it seems that the player’s agent is now offering him around to United’s rivals.
According to reports from France, the midfielder has been offered to Liverpool.
The Reds are thought to be looking at potential replacements for Gini Wijnaldum, and they have been linked with the likes of Houssem Aouar, Eduardo Camavinga and Saul Niguez.
Pogba seems like an unrealistic option for the Reds mainly because of the finances involved.
The 28-year-old is likely to command massive wages, and the Anfield club will not be able to afford it.
Liverpool operate under a strict wage structure, and it is doubtful that they will venture away from it to accommodate poke bar.
Furthermore, Manchester United and Liverpool are bitter rivals, and the Red Devils will not want to let the player move to Anfield anytime soon.
This seems like an attempt from the player’s agent to put Manchester United under pressure and earn a lucrative contract for his client. There have been rumours of a contract extension in recent months, but Pogba has not yet accepted an offer from the Premier League club.
Pogba is in the final year of his contract with the Red Devils, and he will be a free agent next summer.
