Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Apparently, the 37-year-old is unhappy with the transfer business so far, and he harbours doubts regarding the Premier League side’s ambitions.

The Red Devils missed out on a top-four finish last season, and they could easily be in a similar situation if they fail to improve their squad this summer.

The Premier League side have brought in a new manager in Erik Ten Hag, but they will have to back him properly.

A player of Ronaldo’s calibre will want to play for a side capable of winning trophies, and unfortunately, Manchester United are not at that level yet.

Furthermore, the other teams around United have improved considerably in recent years, and the Red Devils have a massive challenge ahead of themselves.

Getting back into the top four should be their first priority.

Ronaldo deserves to play in the Champions League, given his exploits in the competition.

The Portuguese international has recently been linked with a move to Juventus, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Manchester United have been linked with several players in recent weeks. Antony from Ajax is expected to come in to improve their attack.

Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen have been linked as well.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils will have to improve their defence as well. Pau Torres is reportedly a target being looked at.

It will be interesting to see whether Erik Ten Hag can convince his star forward to stay at the club by bringing in some quality players now.
