The Argentine has been voted the MVP of the season.

Juventus 2-1 Lazio Ronaldo sets two goal scoring records

Juventus star Paulo Dybala has edged past his fellow teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to win the MVP of the season.

The Argentine has been voted the Serie A player of the year ahead of Ronaldo

Although Ronaldo has had a brilliant campaign – scoring more than 30 goals, Dybala has been bestowed with the award.

It is mainly due to Dybala’s creativity, being an all-rounded player in the attack. La Joya had accumulated a tally of 17 goals and 14 assists in all competitions.

Juventus-bound Dejan Kulusevski, currently plying his trade at Parma, has been named the best young player of the season. The Swedish youngster will join the Bianconeri this summer.

Ronaldo has been left with no awards, with Lazio ace Ciro Immobile winning the best striker award. Immobile is also the winner of the Serie A Golden Boot and European Golden shoe. The Portuguese ended the campaign with 31 goals, five goals shy of Immobile’s tally.

Dybala is a doubter for the Champions League clash against Lyon after picking up a thigh injury in the final Serie A game against Roma.

Maurizio Sarri has led Juve to Scudetto in his first season in charge, marking his first league title in Italy.

However, the former Napoli manager looks to inspire his side to the Champions League glory, with the Old Lady awaiting Lyon next week. The first leg ended in the favour of the Ligue 1 side, winning the game 1-0.
