Everton have completed the signing of the former Burnley defender James Tarkowski on a free transfer.

Everton have splashed out on defenders before, but players like Yerry Mina have struggled with persistent injury problems. Tarkowski’s arrival should sort out the problem of availability for the Toffees.
The 29-year-old has missed just 8 Premier League games in the last 4 seasons, and his ability to stay fit could prove to be priceless for Frank Lampard and Everton.
The defender is already well settled in the Premier League, and he should be able to hit the ground running at Everton next season.
