Everton have agreed on a £25 million deal to sign up Abdoulaye Doucoure from Watford this summer.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Goodison Park for a while now and it seems that  the player will finally get his wish.

The player is thought to be excited at the possibility of working with Carlo Ancelotti and it will be interesting to see if he can make his mark at Goodison Park next season.

Doucoure and will add power, presence and drive to Ancelotti’s midfield. Everton are currently lacking a powerful player like him in their midfield who will help them dominate games and provide defensive cover to the side as well. 

He could be the ideal partner for Allan and Gomes next season. 

He has been hugely impressive for Watford despite their relegation and he deserves to play for a better team.

The reported price could prove to be a bargain for Everton if the Frenchman manages to adapt quickly.

Everton have been very ambitious in the transfer market this summer and they are set to finalise the signings of Allan and James Rodriguez as well.

Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping to challenge for European qualification next season and it will be interesting to see if his new signings can settle in quickly and make an immediate impact next season.
