Hojberg’s uncharacteristic mistakes led to Spurs downfall from FA Cup, Micky Arthur blames Lloris

Spurs have been eliminated from the FA Cup by Everton in an exciting nine-goal thriller

Tottenham‘s purple patch continued with the FA the Cup elimination from the hands of Everton. The Toffees edged out Spurs 5-4 in a nail-biting thriller, with Bernard snatching the winner in injury time.

While everyone though Spurs have recovered from their three-match winless run with a victory against West Brom, they look to have slumped again.

Pierre Emile-Hojberg, who has been deemed Spurs’ most consistent player this season, was at fault for Everton’s two goals. The Danish midfielder also proved to be a bargain of the summer after helping Jose Mourinho’s side to dominate the leader’s position for a while.

Now, with the ex-Southampton midfielder failing for the first time, things are not looking good for Mourinho and his men as they need to quickly get back into the right track for a top-four finish.

Micky Hazard blames Lloris

Micky Hazard believes Hugo Lloris has to take the fall for letting down Spurs in the FA Cup. Hazard says the French goalkeeper was at least at fault on a couple of occasions – for Richarlison’s goal and Bernard’s winner.

Lloris continues to be one of the key players for Mourinho’s side and the French man cane be completely forgiven for his one-off display.

Micky Hazard wrote on Twitter,

“Can’t legislated for individual errors, all 5 goals mistakes, Lloris too far over to near post on both 4th and 5th goals left the whole goal open for them to hit. COYSSSSS”
