Liverpool have agreed on a £27m deal to sign spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich this summer.

Liverpool have agreed on a £27m deal to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich this summer.

According to reports, the two clubs have agreed on a fee of around 30 million and the 29 year old will sign a four-year contract at Merseyside.

Thiago is one of the best midfielders in the world and his signing should improve the Champions immensely.

The player had one year left on his contract with the German outfit but he wanted a new challenge. The Spaniard helped Bayern win the treble last year and it remains to be seen how he performs in England.

He has managed to show his quality in La Liga and in the Bundesliga. He will be hoping to conquer the Premier League now. 

It will be interesting to see if he again clubs men can retain the Premier League title this season.

Liverpool have now signed two players in Thiago and Tsimikas. It will be interesting to see if they can add to their attack before the transfer window closes.

It is no secret that the Reds need to bring in a quality attacker who could be a  back up to their front three.

Watford attacker Ismaila Sarr has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer and it will be interesting to see who they end up with eventually.

The Reds picked up a thrilling 4-3 win over Leeds United in their season opener and they will be hoping for a similar result when they take on Chelsea this weekend.
