Liverpool confident of beating Premier League rivals to sign Jude Bellingham

Jude Bellingham-Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund central midfielder Jude Bellingham next summer.

The 18-year-old has developed into one of the most talented young midfielders around Europe, and he has been linked with several top clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United.

However, Real Madrid and Manchester City have already signed quality midfielders like Aurelien Tchouameni and Kalvin Phillips.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are keen on signing the Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong which could leave Liverpool with a free run at the England international next summer.

Apparently, the Reds are confident of signing the highly-rated midfielder next summer.

Borussia Dortmund recently sold Erling Haaland to Manchester City, and they are not willing to sell another key player in the same window.

Therefore Liverpool will have to wait until the end of next season to sign the highly talented central midfielder, which is valued at €120M.

It is no secret that the Reds will have to improve their midfield options, especially with the likes of Jordan Henderson and James Milner in their twilight years.

Furthermore, the likes of Naby Keita and Thiago Alcantara have been quite injury-prone since joining the club.

Bellingham would be a much-needed addition, but it seems that Jurgen Klopp will have to shatter Liverpool’s transfer record to land the 18-year-old midfielder.

However, there is no doubt that he has the potential to justify the outlay.

The midfielder has been touted as the ideal long-term replacement for the former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, and he could sort out the club’s midfield for the foreseeable future.

Bellingham has already proven himself in the Bundesliga so far, and he will be desperate to showcase his qualities in the Premier League in future. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can agree on a fee with Dortmund in the coming months now.
